I have been trawling through the internet for weeks trying to find out how to download an add-in for Internet Explorer 8 so that it can read web pages. I found one but it kept crashing IE. Microsoft seem to have an add-in ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms986791.aspx ) but I cannot seem to find out where I can download it. (no response from them)

Can someone help me find a free add-in for IE8 so that Cepstral voices can read web pages.

The add-on is distributed on the MSDN as part of a speech SDK. You can download it if you have access to that area. We will look into whether this is applicable to internet Explorer 8 (we don't know yet) and whether we have a right to redistribute it...
