Using the lexicon file

Postby chriscc17 » Sun Jun 05, 2011 10:27 am

I am trying to get the voice Robin to pronounce my name correctly:

Wendell

It's pronounced Wind Dull not Wind Dell (dell as in Dell Computers)

I found the lexicon file here and add this: Is that correct. If so any suggestions on the pronunciation. Thanks.

# User lexicon entries go here, one per line, in the format

# cepstral 0 k eh1 p s t r ah0 l
# wendell 0 w ih1 n d dull 1

Here are two alternate lexicon entries for Wendell as you describe it:

wendell 0 w ih1 n d ah0 l
wendell 0 w ih1 n d aa0 l

You can try either in turn to see which fits your pronunciation best. Please note that the # character in the first column is a comment character that would in fact nullify the entry. All entries must be lowercase.
