I am trying to the get Callie 8kHz to say CTI as (see tee eye)

My lexicon.txt entry is

cti 0 c t ay1

is this correct? Right now you can barely make out what Callie is saying for that acronym.

Hi Dave,

This should do it:

cti 0 s i1 t i1 ay1

That's with stress on each syllable... it's possible that it may come out better with stress only on the final phoneme, like this:

cti 0 s i0 t i0 ay1

Thanks Alex! That seems to work fine.

Maybe you can help me also try to make this datetime string

2007-06-05 09:36:38.000

Read as "June Fifth, Two Thousand Seven, Nine-thirty-six AM"? Preferably without using the speech xml.

The only way I'm aware of to handle that explicitly is to use SSML <say-as> tags.

IE:

<say-as type="date">2007-06-05</say-as>,<say-as type="time">09:36:38.000</say-as>

The 09.36.38.000 might sound better if there was a preference you could set to remove the milliseconds, though, and I don't immediately know how to make it say "AM." from military time.
