Custom Lexicon on Windows XP...

Postby PaulX » Thu Aug 06, 2009 6:42 pm

Hello!

I followed the directions for creating a custom lexicon for a specific word. When I tested it at the command line, it worked fine. However, I'm using the Cepstral Callie voice with my Windows XP text-to-speech engine (SAPI 5.1). When I use it with an application other than Swift, the custom lexicon does not work.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Paul

Paul,

If a Cepstral voice is used to speak, it cannot bypass the user lexicon. The user lexicon serves as an absolute override. Furthermore, there is no SAPI dependency in this mechanism. The lexicon should work everywhere. This means it should work everywhere the voice is accessed successfully. What is the application you are using where the failure occurs?
