British English voices have US pronunciation?

Postby Rococo1256 » Fri May 16, 2008 5:43 pm

Hi there,

I was wondering why Cepstral's British voices appear to have the US pronunciation on words like "either". They say it with a short I instead of a long I. I think the more common pronunciation is "I-their". I would buy Millie if she used the more common one.

Thank you,

This can be done by modifying the user lexicon.txt file and making an entry adding stress to the first vowels in the word 'Either'. For more information about modifying this file please select the following link: http://cepstral.com/cgi-bin/support?page=lexicon

I hope this helps.
