Do you need to have an active internet connection in order to license a voice. I recently purchased miguel for a closed network system and am unable to authenticate the license key.

There is no requirement for a live connection at the time of licensing for versions up to 5.x.

The most likely reasons for your license key not working are:

- You downloaded one version of the voice and purchased a license to the other. Desktop voices are not marked with a speed (for example Miguel) as opposed to telephony voices which are marked with a speed ( Miguel-8kHz)

- You downloaded a version 5 voice and are attempting to use a version 4 key. To upgrade from version to version 5 you may visit www.cepstral.com/upgrade5 . Some users receive a free upgrade based on the date of purchase.
