I couldn't find any xml tags for laugh/smile/kiss etc. in the support doc/forums.

I would really like to use the kind of tags that are available from other vendors?

Audio Emoticons...yes, we offer a way to do this. However, let me ask you, can you tell one person's throat clearing noise from another?

Cepstral does not include hic-ups, lip-smack, or other emoticons in their database. If you would like to produce any such noises (sneeze, sob, belch, lip-smack, cat-call, etc.,) you can easily record your favorites and call them via SSML. (See example #7).

Using this SSML technique, you might insert a YAWN in your audio by:

"I can use Cepstral to <audio src='yawn.wav' /> add audio emoticons to my synthesis"

Repository of audio files.

Thanks a lot for the response. Using ssml to insert audio files is a reasonable workaround(and probably better than building custom tags for this).

I am looking for only the 'smiley/laugh' of David's voice.
If you can point me to a repository of such audio file(s) that would be great.

Thanks,

Manoj.

P.S.: I do not have the expertise/equipment to record high quality audio voices.
