Asterisk Integration & Cepstral Support

.
Telephony enthusiasts,

Please note*, Cepstral's support role is limited to questions related directly to synthesis or licensing. Cepstral focuses on the science behind TTS and does not offer direct support for Asterisk or any other 3rd party applications. At this time, all Asterisk troubleshooting or integration questions must be directed to the various community forums like this one. Thanks for understanding our role as technology vendors.

That said, Cepstral can point you to several "community supported" integration wrappers that connect Asterisk to Cepstral voices. The community has developed two versions of "app_cepstral". We feel the latest version (#1) is the most efficient solution because it uses streaming rather than files. Please find links to these publicly available resources on our Telephony page.

Related topics for using Cepstral voices in Telephony applications:

* SSML
* Lexicon editing
* Commercial Licensing

I wouldn't mind a linux voice synth. It would sure make my life a whole more productive.
