On this page you will find links to download fully-functional trial version of 8kHz Cepstral Voices for Apple Macintosh OS X, Microsoft Windows, i386-Linux, x86-64-Linux, Sparc-Solaris, and i386-Solaris. These voices are well suited to Telephony Applications, as they have an 8kHz sampling rate - the target sampling rate for Telephony hardware. Because of this, no run-time resampling is required, thus eliminating overhead that is incurred when using voices of a higher sampling rate.
The trial period is not time-limited; It never expires. However, a voice will interject reminder messages into the audio output until you purchase a valid license key for it. If you would like to listen to a sample of each voice before beginning your trial, visit the Demos page. Voice license keys can be purchased from the Store.
All voices listed here have a native audio format of 8kHz, 16bit, PCM, mono. The output can be reformatted at runtime to suit your needs. Higher-fidelity voices for Apple Macintosh OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Solaris can be found under the "Desktop Voices" section.
Currently, not all of our voices are available in 8kHz fromat. However, if you have an immediate need for an 8kHz version of any of the voices listed under "Desktop Voices" that is not listed here, please contact contact us and we will gladly accommodate you.
